Christmas and such!

Well, we had quite a nice small Christmas this year! It was definitely different to not have any of my siblings home for Christmas! On Christmas eve we did our usual Shepard's Dinner which was just lovely! It was just my mom and dad and terry and I and of course Mae. Mae was loving being able to try all the different drinks that we had! Then on Christmas morning I made breakfast and we opened some presents. Then we went to church at 11 to hear my dad speak. It was great!

Mae enjoying all of her new coloring books. My favorite line from Mae this year was when she was opening a caillou dvd she exclaimed "a Caillou book, Just what I wanted!!!" Where did she even hear that line from! Terry and I just cracked up!

There is actually a really funny story that goes with the next 2 pictures. So a few nights ago Mae had thrown up in her bed so I let her sit on the couch and color while I cleaned up so she could go back to bed. I was very tired and suggested that Mae could bring her markers and coloring book back in bed with her in attempts to get her to go peacefully back to bed. Well, it worked but in the morning we woke up to this... And in the middle of the night Terry checked on her and thought oh no, she has thrown up again and it is all over her face...but no, when he turned on the light to get a better look it was just marker! Smart I know to let my 2 year old have markers in her bed with her...it was late ok!!! And I was tired of cleaning up throw up!!!
She had carefully colored her nose, eyes, hands and as much of her face as she could!!

My dad's side of the family were getting together at temple square for the christmas party this year and we all decided to go. Only problem was we left Orem at 6:30 at night. Ran into traffic. Both ways. Got to see family for about 5 min. We were all starving. and freezing. But at least we have these few gems to show for our effort!

We are definitely trying to live it up a bit while Terry is done with the semester. Terry is always busy but hopefully we can squeeze a few more fun things in while we have a break! I just have to say too that Terry did AWESOME in his first semester of the Accounting Program at BYU. I couldn't be more proud of him! It was not easy at all. Literally, we barely made it through, but we did. Now here's to making the most of Christmas 2011!!

Fall Fun!!

PUMPKINLAND

We have been able to do a few fun things lately to enjoy the fall festivities that are going on! The other week Terry had Friday off of school so we decided to go to Pumpkinland in Orem. It was cold, but so so fun! Mae had a blast looking at all of the animals and just being able to run around!

Then my cute nephew Jack had his first bday and we got to go to cornbelly's at thanksgiving point for his birthday party! My brother Bryan and Wendy went all out on his party and it was the most darling thing ever!!!

My dad ran all around with Mae. They had TONS of things for the kids to climb and play on it was awesome!!! But it also was like almost 80 degrees so we were all HOTT!!

I am pretty excited about what we are having! I think Mae will have a blast with a little SISTER!!!!! I hope she has the kind of relationship with her new sister that my sister and I have! HOW FUN! And not to mention we won't have to buy much of anything because we already have tons of girl stuff. I am so excited! We also have done pretty well choosing a name this time around! With Mae, it was hard to figure out the kinds of names Terry likes but we have one already that we both like!!!

So, my mom has brought over a bunch of old videos and pictures lately from back in the day. They have been fun to look through but for some reason has made me kinda sad and nostalgic too. Looking back to when my parents were still married, by brothers were all in the house still, we lived in our old house...things were so simple and fun. Oh how things have changed since then. But, you can't stop time. No matter what time is still going to pass and things are going to change and that's ok. I just need to make memories for my kids that I once had with my family. Boy do I miss the days where all my bothers and sister were still at home and my brothers would tease me, they would bring all of their hott friends over and Mary and I had so much fun talking about which one was the hottest. Jared would blast his music before his football games. Bryan and I would go to blockbuster and get treats and a movie. Matthew would always play rough house games with us to which my mother would be sure to tell us, " there better not be blood on my carpet!!" As I was watching the videos last night by myself, I wished so badly that someone in my family was there to laugh and cry with me. Anyway, I am totally rambling...thanks for listening. I really was blessed with the most awesome family in the world! I am definitely going to try and make it that great for Mae too!

So how nerdy am I to take a 1st day of school picture of Terry?!?!

You can tell he is very excited about me taking the picture as well. I just was proud and excited for him to be starting the Accounting Program at BYU that I didn't want to not get a picture!

Here he is looking very studious! And handsome in his suit! They all had to wear a suit and tie the first day.

Way to go Terry! I am so proud of you and I KNOW you will do awesome!!

Since my sister is gone now, Mae and I have been figuring out a new routine. Here is a lot of what we do!

On this day, Terry actually was watching her. He got her ready for the day can you tell? :) He also took her around the park with him to do some work. The hat she is wearing is Terry's awesome work hat! :)

I bought a little paint set and coloring book from the Dollar store and Mae loved to paint! She seriously painted for so long this night!

We also go outside and Mae likes to water the plants. She also loves this hat! She put it on the other day and exclaimed "I'm a cowboy!"

We also went to this awesome new park in Spanish Fork that had a water fountain that the kids could play in and tons of swings. Mae loves the swings!

I must say we have had a lot of changes in the last little while. Some good, some not so good. But all in all we are doing pretty well. Life is definitely more lonely without my sister...but things are good right now for us. I feel like we are on a good path! And Mae is growing up too fast! But I sure love her.

So much has happened in the last little while...where do I begin?? Well, Mae turned 2 on July 11th. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She talks like crazy. I would say she talks in 6-7 words sentences. She is so dang smart too! She loves playing with her cousins...so sad that half are already gone and the other half will be leaving soon. What are we going to do?!?!? Here are a few pics from her little party that we had at my mom's house.

We have moved!! We are now in Provo living where Mary and Ryan used to live and took over their job as managers of Crestline Estates. We are so grateful to have this job and I think it is going to be great for us! But since we moved I decided to transition Mae into a big girls bed! She has done suprisingly well! Some days I really wonder if she naps though...she has been quite cranky lately! She wakes up with awesome hair though!!!

I need to take some pictures of our house! We got brand new carpet and it is wonderful!

She also had her first black eye! She fell, like she does on a daily basis, and happened to land perfectly on this one spot on a chair with her eye. It looked awful!!!

Quick trip to Cali!!

On Monday the 2nd, terry and I decided to go to California. So we left Monday night. It was such a fun quick trip!! And this just sums terry and I up, we fly by the seat of our pants! But I am so glad we did! So we left monday and stayed over night in Vegas. Then early Tuesday morning we got on the road because we wanted to hit sea world on Tuesday! We finally got to sea world around noon! It was a hot day, and mae was not a fan of sitting and waiting for the shows to start.

She wasn't really into the shamu show very much. I always like it though!

Then on Wednesday and Thursday we went to DISNEYLAND! I just love Disneyland! I just think its magical!

Mae was seriously such a trooper on this trip! She did awesome, she slept in the stroller pretty well and even though she didn't get the best nap she wasn't that cranky! I just love her!

Then on Friday we went to Long Beach for a bit. We played on the beach for a little while and little did I know that 1. Mae loves the beach, and 2. she has no fear and ran right into the water, shoes and all! I didn't have my camera with me so sadly no pictures of that part. :(

Then we finally got to Bryan and Wendy's house and had a lovely dinner with them at Cheesecake Factory!

Mae was way too big for Jack's toy but Jack was kind enough to let Mae try it out :)

Jack is seriously the most adorable baby! He is sooo smiley and laughs like crazy! He must have some pretty good parents :)!! Bryan and Wendy were kind enough to let us crash at their place Friday night. Bryan and I had a fun night! It reminded me of when I was really little and Bryan would take me with him to blockbuster and we would get a scary movie and treats and hang out together! What an awesome brother I have! Then we drove home all day Saturday!

Well thats it! Some might think we are crazy for going so last minute but I am sooooo glad we did! What a fun little family vacation we had! We are definitely going to do this vacation thing more often! And maybe with a little more planning next time....or not!

Hospital...

So just a few weeks ago, Mae had her first visit to the emergency room. It was not fun at all for anyone!! Here is what happened. She basically had a fever of 105 degrees for about 3 days straight. The doctor thought she may have had a urinary tract infection so we got her on some antibiotics. But on the third day of her super high fever that wouldn't budge even with medicine in her every 3 hrs, I finally couldn't take it anymore and took her to the emergency room. I mean she was in a Luke warm bath, acting very lethargic, with a fever of 104...what would you have done. Anyway, they gave her an iv with an antibiotic, took some blood for tests, and took some urine for another uti test... it was awful. Luckily we didn't have to be at the hospital for too long and that night her fever broke. Come to find out though she didn't have a uti, so I stopped the antibiotic which was giving her raging diarrhea (poor girl!). But I was looking online at Roseola and the symptoms lined up pretty much exactly with what Mae was having. She even had a rash once the fever went down...and come to find out you don't have to give them ANYTHING for it and it goes away on its own after a few days. Why couldn't someone have thought of that before I took her to the emergency room!!! Oh well, better safe than sorry I guess! I am just glad she is OK and I have my sweet playful Mae back! Seriously while she had such a high fever all she wanted to do was cuddle with me which I LOVE but I just new she didn't feel good, you know! Here's to flu season almost being over!!!

10K and randomness!!

Well, a few weeks ago I did the rex lee run 10K. This was my first race since I have been running again, and it was awesome!!! I really really love races for some reason. I am not super fast or anything but I just enjoy being out there and running with others I guess. I did 6.23 miles in 56min. I was proud of myself!

Here is Mae and I post race. She is enjoying some of my post race food. Watching really made her hungry :) It was sooooo especially awesome to have Terry, Mae, Mary and my Mom there at the end cheering me on! That was for sure the best part!!!

A few fun things that we have done lately! Mary and I took the kiddos to Provo beach resort and ate at the BEST pizza place afterward, and I just really love this picture!!!

life lately!

Well, I continue to run and love it! I ran outside last Saturday and it was snowing lightly but it was wonderful! I really forgot how great it feels to run outside. I LOVE it! Can't wait for better weather though :)!

Terry has been doing onsites lately so Mae and I are home alone. Its not that bad really! We have fun together! We miss daddy but we make the best of it. We go over to my sister Mary's house and Mae just plays and plays there with Jane and Beckham. The last time we were there, it was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen. As soon as Jane walked in Mae ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug and just held her for the longest time!!! long enough for me to get a picture! that is pretty long considering I had to go and get my camera out of my purse!

Then Mae put on one of Jane's many princess dresses and they LOVED to just run around and laugh together. It was really precious! They are really becoming buds! Just in time for them to leave :( :( :( :(

Mae also loves to play with Beckham! They sometimes get on each others nerves a little but for the most part they like to play with each other!

My brother and sis-in-law came in to town for a few days and we sure enjoyed hanging out with them and their 2 cute kids! This is Mae and Charlotte

Then poor Mae was so tired one night that she actually fell asleep like this!

She sure loves her "rora" (Aurora) Pj's!!! They are really tinker bell but the only princess she knows how to say is Aurora!

And last but not least, Mae had her first big fall on the cement and totally scraped up her nose! It was really sad but she is ok now!!! This was the best picture I could get. Not the best picture but you can sorta see the damage!

Running!

ahhhh running. I LOVE it. Call me crazy, whatever But its true. I love to run! I have been able to go pretty regularly for the last couple of months and the bug is back! I love the feeling of pushing myself to go a little harder or faster and the feeling of accomplishment afterwards! I love getting all sweaty and having it drip down my face. I love running to awesome songs and jamming out to them as i am running. I just can't get enough. For example, this morning I wanted to get up and run before Terry had to be to work. This meant that I was going to have to get up at 6 eat my energy bar and get ready, and be at the gym at 6:30 so I could be home by 7:30. Well, that didn't happen. It may have had something to do with the fact that i just HAD to stay up and watch "my life as Liz" of MTV last night which doesn't come on until midnight. Heaven forbid I miss an episode...anyway, I was so upset that I didn't force myself to get up. I was really looking forward to running. I seriously have been thinking about when I am going to be able to go and get my run in all day. I am starting to feel a little crazy about it. I am training for the utah valley half marathon in June. I am seriously so excited. Someday I will do a marathon, but for now a half marathon will have to do. If any of you readers out there (all 4 of you :) ) if you would like to run it with me I would LOVE it! I am also going to do the rex lee run in a couple of weeks also. its a 10k. if you can't tell i am pumped!! I can't wait until i can go for runs outside again!

And i know, i know, i am behind on the pictures of my little Mae. She is sooo big! She just walks around talking, laughing, and a few tantrums here and there. She currently LOVES mickey! Last night it was the sweetest thing, after her bath she just wanted to be held so I sang songs to her and just held her in her towel for a while! she loved it and I loved it! she is such a sweetheart!

Christmas was sooo wonderful this year! It seems like it has been forever since we had our own little Christmas at our house, so this year was such a blast!!! I really need to do an update on Mae as well. She is just growing too much! She runs all around our house now, says lots of words like book, blankie, binkie, baby, thank you, please, pretty, happy, momma, daddy, seriously tons of words!! She is such a blast to have around! She puts things in random places that I find later, like a CD was in the fridge! She must have stuck that in while I wasn't looking!! She loves to be chased and just screams and laughs, and then so goes and hides in her tent and waits for you to get her! What joys kids are! I think I am about ready to have another one :) ! Here are a few pictures of our wonderful holiday!! sorry such a random post!

This was for my b-day. On my actual birthday, we tried to go see the lights but there was not a single parking spot to be had, we seriously drove around for like 15 min. So on a later date we finally made it! It was a blast!

Mae had on 2 coats, and two pairs of pants plus that hat, she couldn't put her arms all the way down just like the little boy on a Christmas story!!

Well, Terry's bday and come and gone, my bday has come and gone, and they both were wonderful! Terry is a pill though because I always ask him if he wants to have people over or anything for his bday and he always says no, so we always end up doing something simple for his birthday. My birthday on the other hand, he always makes sure we do a bunch of fun stuff!! Stinker!! Anyway, I have a few pics of our life lately...

Cali Adventure

On Nov. 11th, my mom and I set out on an adventure to California!! We went to go see my brother and sister-in-law who just had a new baby boy! They are sooo cute with their new little one, it was such a treat to see!! But oh boy was the trip an eye opener. I just realized that I am not a very good mother, can't handle as much stress as I thought I could and once again it was brought to my attention that I am just not as good as Mary at anything. She had to come in and rescue me and a number of times and was so much better with Mae. Sad day really. But nonetheless, we made it home in one piece. Here are a few pictures of the trip.

Well, Happy Halloween everyone! I hope your holiday was filled with lots of fun! Unfortunately Terry was busy pretty much all weekend so we didn't get to do anything all together but I still dressed Mae up and went and showed off her costume to a few people. I made her a tutu this year, and all the other stuff for her costume we found at Target in the dollar section! Awesome right?!

Well, I have been bugging Terry for the last few days now on something that bothers me. When Terry brushes his teeth he leaves the cap off the toothpaste and lays it on the counter. When I go in and want to brush my teeth there is a big glob of toothpaste on the counter because it has run out of the open tube of toothpaste. Anyway, the other night Terry did this so it sat that way all night and in the morning there was a nice and big glob waiting for me on the counter. I HATE that!! And I have cleaned it up every time. This time I decided I was going to talk to Terry about it and just let him know that it would be awesome if he would just put the lid back on when he was done. Then I wouldn't have to clean up his globs!!! So last night it was still there and I kindly mentioned it to him and that I was hoping he would clean it up this time. Well, this morning there was a nice little surprise waiting for me............

Yup, instead of taking the time to clean it up, even better, he took the time to make a cute little smiley face out of floss for me in the toothpaste glob. Isn't he thoughtful?!?!?! :) I actually laughed out loud when I saw it.

So on Saturday I had my dad come over so that I could go hike the "Y" again. It was such a beautiful day and I needed to redeem myself from the last time I attempted to hike the "Y". So I started up the mountain feeling much much better than the last time, its amazing how much of a difference it was to not have Mae on my back! I didn't even listen to music, it was just to peaceful and wonderful to!! But I made it and all the way to the tippy top of the "Y" too!! I was absolutely beautiful with all of the changing leaves! I just can't even express how good it felt :). Just Wonderful.

I sure with the weather could stay just like it was on Saturday for a little while longer so I could do this again a few more times!!

So I decided that I am fat and in need of some working out. I have a hard time knowing when to do it because I am NOT a morning person and that seems to be the best time to do it without Mae. So this morning I decided to hike the "Y" with Mae in a hiking backpack on my back. WOW, am I out of shape or what!! I didn't make it to the top. But its a start right?!?! this is how we looked afterward, a little disheveled to say the least. (I look really horrible!!!)

Lone Survivor

Reading is not something I was super into in High School, at least I don't remember being into it. But now that I am a little older and wiser I guess, I love reading! I love having a good book that I can't put down. I love getting into the stories! I just love everything about it! I just finished a truly amazing book. It was very graphic, sad and eye opening for me to read but I couldn't put it down. It is called

It is about this Navy Seal Team that was sent to Afghanistan to take out one of the main Taliban leaders. The one who wrote the book was the only surviver of his team. And as he recounts what happened on those Afghanistan mountains, his story is really something else. It is really crazy to read this first hand account of the war. It really put it into perspective for me that there are people doing this over there right now fighting for our country. Anyway, great book. Some language though, just a warning for you in case you decide to read it.

the tub...

Mae recently has figured out how to get into the bathtub. She kinda just lets herself flop in but she loves to just play and play in there with her clothes on. She thinks it's the coolest thing!

We also recently had our talented friend take some family pictures for us. They turned out pretty darn cute! and they are not uploading right now so maybe i will post them another time...

Mae is 15 months old now. she is starting to take a few steps here and there! finally!! she is so smart though. she says lots of things now and i think her favorite word is "no". I hate that she says it all the time but it is pretty funny! She also loves to sing! her favorite song right now is old mcdonald and the "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream" from sleeping beauty?? is that right? anyway she is FUN! We just had her appointment today and she is so dang tall for her age! still 95% percentile! she didn't gain any weight from her last appt. but thats ok, she is still in the 75% for weight.

Terry is doing so well in school! He loves accounting!!! Who would have thought, but I am just so glad that he has found something that he is very good at and enjoys learning about! I don't know how he does it but he is managing to juggle full time work, school, solase, and family pretty well! Keep up the good work honey!!! :)

I am just enjoying life with Mae, and I love my job! I love that I can just go on Fridays and keep up with that skill! What a blessing that has been for us!! Life is going pretty good right now and I love Fall time! so the end to my long and boring post this time!!

Well, this summer really has been a fun one even though Terry has been busy with school and work and such! We have enjoyed the warm weather and just doing our thing, hanging out with Mary Jane and Beckham and hanging out at home! We absolutely LOVE our new place! It just feels like our HOME finally! Just the other day Mary and I went to Thanksgiving Point and walked around the gardens there and it was such a wonderful day! I don't know what it was about it but it was just wonderful! I didn't get any pictures of it which I am sooo mad about but I sure wish Terry could have been there too. Here are a few pictures of our life the last few months and the order of them is most recent to older pictures. I would have liked them the other way around but this is the way they uploaded and I don't want to take the time to fix them... :)

Well, Terry and I are approaching 3 years of marriage (tomorrow)! I kinda can't believe everything that we have done in 3 years. To summarize a few, We have moved a total of 8 times. We had Mae. We bought 3 rentals. Sold a house. We started a business. Terry started school again. I started work again. Trying to juggle it all has been a definite struggle at times. But although it has been hard, I am so glad that I have Terry. He is such a hard worker, and such a great dad. I couldn't' have asked for a better husband! I also wouldn't change anything we have done! I loved Texas, and Levan, and cherish the memories from both of those places! I am grateful for where we are today, and am looking forward to what the future brings us!

Well, this is probably going to be a boring post for most of you. I do not have my cord to my camera so I won't be able to upload any pictures but I do need to get down somewhere all the things Mae is now doing... She is 10 months old!

First of all she has 2 teeth. they are not all the way grown in yet but they are coming! and they are adorable!!!

Easter Fun!

This Weekend has to be one of the funnest we have had in a while! First of all on Saturday, I went over to my grandma Pat and Grandpa Chuck's house to help set up for Easter dinner. A tradition that my sister and I have done for so many years now, I love it!

Of course we watched conference and heard some WONDERFUL talks! Then Terry, my dad and my brother Jared all went to the priesthood session. I stopped in at Solase because they had a Ladies night, and it was packed with Ladies! It was awesome! At the next one I am for sure going to go and hang out longer! And the only reason it was so great is because we have such amazing people that work there! I seriously don't know what we would do with out you guys! After the priesthood session Terry and I went over to our friends Leanne and Danny Johnsons's house and played this awesome game!

It was a blast!!! If you have never played before you should try it, it really is such a fun clever game! And Leanne had made homemade cinnamon rolls that were delicious!

Then on Sunday, we of course watched conference again and enjoyed it very much! I always enjoy reading the talks in the May ensign though because there is so much you miss!! Then we went to My gma's for dinner. Then after that we went to Terry's sisters house in West Jordan and had dinner again, and an easter egg hunt and played Cranium. It was seriously a BLAST! We need to get together more often and play games!!

One last thing, Rebecca, who is probably one of the most amazing people I know, her mom makes these darling dresses which I LOVE and I am so fortunate to be able to get some of them from her. This easter one has to be one of my favorites! The color looks gorgeous on Mae! Here are a few pictures in her new easter outfit!

Well, I am a little late on this post but Terry participated in a St. Baldrick's Day fundraiser on St. Patrick's day. It is a fundraiser for children's cancer. They held it at Fishbowl and it was so fun, and funny to see everyone shave their heads. Yea for raising money for children's cancer! (luckily Terry's hair has grown out some since then :))

Well, as I took a shower last night, I noticed a few things about my post baby body and I got a little discourages. First of all, what the hec happened to my boobs? Where did they go? No one ever warned me about the total make under that your boobs go through after having a baby. Then again, they do go through a ton through the whole process! Then I noticed that I swear my belly didn't have quite as much fat on it before. It is now just a bit jellier than it was before. And man my but is giggly! I am definitely not saying I had a perfect body before I had Mae, but now it is in general just a bit softer.

Now I now we are supposed to love our bodies the way it is now or else we will NEVER love our bodies. This is something I definitely need to work on because even when I was running a lot and was the skinniest I have every been, I still thought I was fat, and didn't like my body. And as I look back at those pictures, I think, "dang, I would like to look like that again". But even if I did, would I still think I was fat? So, even more than being skinny again, I would like to LOVE my body now. Be content with where I am at and just be happy that I am working out and that makes me feel so good. Because really having Mae is soooo worth the changes my body went through! I have never been so happy in my life. I love having something that is bigger than just me to worry about. I love having that responsibility every day. And lets be honest, she is just a blast!!

So ya, I may be a little saggier and softer than I used to be, but that is all so worldly anyway. I have something so much bigger and more important to worry about now. And honestly being super skinny and physically fit will NOT make me happy. I know that I need to work out for my well being, and honestly working out every day helps me to be happier. And if I keep doing it I know I will see results. But for now, I am going to be happy with who I am now. I am going to continue to work out, but I am not going to stress about being fat, and not looking the way I would ideally like to look. Because really I don't look so bad. I always tend to make things worse in my head. And I am going to focus on more important things like spending as much time as I can with my precious little Mae, the time with her will go by way to fast. Making sure I am bettering myself each and every day not only for me but also for my family. Making sure I can spend quality time with my husband. And living each day to the fullest!! :)

So, thanks for the suggestions girls! Mae is feeling better and I think she is on the mend! Thank goodness!! We did have a rough couple of days! But on a happier note, Mae is pretty much famous now!! Well, not really, but I entered her picture into the Regis and Kelly baby contest and her picture is in the gallery of thousands of thousands of pictures! :) So you really have to search for her picture but its there on the Regis and Kelly website!! There are TONS of cute babies on there but I like to think that Mae is right up there with the cute ones! But I guess every parent thinks that way about their child!! So, Mae has a really bad cough. It is really harsh sounding. I feel so helpless. She had a slight fever so I gave her some Tylenol and we have a humidifier in her room. She also threw up tonight, I am hoping that was a fluke thing because she was coughing right before. But she really threw up, i mean pretty much everything, and it was actual throw up and not just spit up. :( Do any of you know any tricks to helping her get better faster? It is the saddest thing when your infant is sick and there is really nothing more you can do for them. Any suggestions would be GREAT!! I want this healthy happy baby back!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Lately Terry and I have been sooo busy. I feel like we are running around like chickens with our heads cut off all the time! We NEED desperately to take a break even if it is a small one and just be able to do something, the three of us together, with no pressing assignments or obligations. I dream of being able to do this someday! But, for now, we are busy, and we will be for a WHILE...

Valentines day was sweet. Saturday before valentines I spent the WHOLE day at Solase helping out and making sure the day ran smoothly. I was crazy busy which is good but it made for a long day! But on Sunday, I tried to wake up early to go make b-fast for Terry before church and found this on our counter

Terry had gotten some flowers for me and Mae, how cute is that!!! He also got some treats of course! He also purchased the Insanity work out dvd's that I have been talking about for a while! I am so excited and I hope it whips me into shape!! I am wanting to run the Utah valley half marathon after all...

Even though we are so busy, I enjoy my time with Mae so much! She is growing and is such a riot!! She loves her food now! She is a champ and likes pretty much everything I give her, including green beans. But she is like her mama because she really didn't like peas!!

Here she is eating plums, and she sneezed right in the middle of it!!

She also now sleeps with just her fuzzy blankets, she loves them! It so so cute, but I feel like she is growing up, too fast!

Soooo, during this time of constant running, I am just trying to keep my spirits up and to do what I can to make things easier for the both of us. Even though I am not very good at it. I really don't know how others do it, how do you live with basically no husband? I am sure you just get used to it. But right now it is HARD!

6 months already!?!?!

Our little Mae is 6 months old, where did the time go?? She is at such a fun stage where she smiles, laughs, talks, sings, and rolls over. As of today she now rolls from her back to tummy and is sitting up pretty much on her own. She still needs supervision because she will just topple over and hit the ground. Hopefully soon she will figure out she can make her falls not quite so bad by catching herself with her hands! But with rolling over she did it once and has figured it out! And seriously it was just today that she did it and kept doing it! She has this system where she will roll to her side and she has figured out that if she turns her head as hard as she can so that her face is smashed into the ground she can get all the way over onto her tummy! I need to catch it on video one of these times! We had her 6 month well check the other day and she has grown soo much! At 4 months she was 25 in tall, 75 percentile, 15lbs 5oz, 87 percentile, and her head was 42 1/2cm, 87 percentile. At her 6 month she was 27.5in, 95 percentile (maybe she will be tall :)) what a growth spurt!! and she weighs 17lbs 14oz, 80 percentile. Anyway, I just thought that it was great that she grew soo much and she is so long right now! Hopefully she will keep on growing!! She is just such a joy!

It is so fun to have my brother Jared and sister-in-law Heather living close again, they just moved from Cedar City. I love having them closer and I love their 2 boys!!

Here is one of Mae's cousins, Ashton! One of the above mentioned boys!! He was so cute, he wanted to hold her and then sat there just holding her! Even though I ask him if Mae is a boy or girl and every time he says "Boy". We will work on that :)

I love this little girl so much! I kind of wish I could push pause and she would stay at this stage a little while longer! She is just too fun. But I know that she will just get funner!

Today I am HAPPY! I am so full of love right now and I am not quite sure why. To start off, I love that i can stay home with Mae. I am grateful that Fishbowl lets me work from home so I can be home with her. Mae is such a joy! It seems like overnight she started grabbing at everything. She used to just sit in my lap and be content, now she has to grab at ANYTHING in front of her. She smiles all the time now! I will catch her starting at me and when I turn to look at her she smiles really big. It warms my heart! She doesn't cry hard very often so when she does I think its so cute that I laugh at it. I love her chubby cheeks, and how chubby she is. I love our little family together. I am grateful that we have eachother. I love my whole family, and Terry's family. For the love and support that they show us. You can't beat a family that will be behind you no matter what. I am grateful for my faith. It is so needed in the world today. I love the way I feel today. Why can't I feel like this every day? There is no reason why I shouldn't :). Now enjoy looking at a few pictures of the girl I get to hang out with all the time :)

The "Mary" Diet

A lot has happened in the last little while, I wait far too long between posts!

So i have to say that the bumbo chair is amazing and Mae loves it! I love that she is able to sit up and just chill with me in the kitchen while I am cleaning or cooking (like that happens very often ha ha...) anyway, I just love it! And not to mention she just looks plain adorable while sitting in it!!

We also got Mae this adorable little hat to wear for the winter, look how stinkin cute it is!! It looks like a little old fashioned football helmet, don't you think?

We also had a small friends shower for Mary the weekend before Beckham came, it was pretty fun I thought. Here are some funny pictures of a game we played!

We also tried feeding Mae some rice cereal and she would have none of it. She gagged, dry-heaved, and spit it out the whole time. She really hated it! I think I will wait a little while before we try to feed it to her again!!

And, I didn't have any baby spoons so that is why I am using a huge spoon haha!!

Well, so I guess all that has happened is not really that exciting but we are loving life with our little girl, everything with her is exciting to us!! :)

One really exciting thing though is we now have a new nephew named William Beckham Dick!! Mary had just an amazing birth and he is a wonderful baby despite having a sinus infection, and a circumcision that went not as planned.

He is such a cutie! Welcome to the world Beckham! We love you!

This Halloween was not really that eventful but we got some cute pics! So Fishbowl had trick or treating for all of the kids so I took Mae in her little lady bug outfit. She looked cute, really cute, but I felt kind of stupid because every other little lady bug that was there was the gourmet kind. You know, darling little tutu's, striped tights, big bows in the hair, and sparkly wings... Mae was more of a literal lady bug. She was still adorable though! Frankly, I loved Mae's costume and didn't really care about the other lady bugs, but sometimes it just feels like a contest to have the cutest kid and I hate it! Anyway, Our friends little girl McKinlee wanted to hold Mae so here I am helping! McKinlee was a little red devil! Super cute!

My dad was a cowboy for work, and I called him a classy cowboy because he went to Gunnies and purchased real (expensive) cowboy stuff!! He had real cowboy boots, a Harley Davidson hat, a pearl button shirt, and a jack daniels belt buckle!!!

My sweet sisters little girl Jane turned 2 a little while ago and we got to attend her little party! It was a balloon themed party because Jane LOVES balloons! It was sooo cute! Mary put balloons everywhere and Jane loved it! Mary even made Jane a darling balloon cake! PS, Mary is practically 9 months prego and you can't even tell!!! She looks so dang good! It was such a fun night. Thanks Mary for inviting us and doing so much for us! We really love you guys!

And, Jane just loves baby Mae so much! She will grab her baby doll who she calls baby Mae and buckle her into Mae's carseat, she will wrap her up just like I do it, and she will even change her baby dolls diaper and need a wipe to wipe her bum with! Jane is getting so big and is so smart! I can't wait until Mae is big enough for them to play together!
Mae has done this really cute thing a couple of times, she will find her 2 middle fingers and just suck away on them like they are her binki!! I love it, it is so dang cute!

Today is our 2 year anniversary! It has been 2 years and I am still married to this handsome guy!! :) We have known each other for 5 years now and we have had some pretty dang fun times together! I love being a mom. It is just so fun and I love little Mae soo much! I can't believe she is already 2 months and 1 week old. Time really flies. She is starting to smile and talk sooo much more now and it is adorable! We had her 2 month appointment where she had to get her shots and it was horrible. I cried. Afterwords she seemed to be doing fine but a few hours later, I have never seen my child so fussy. She would not stop crying. Luckily Infant Tylenol came to the rescue and she eventually went back to her normal calm self! Here are a few of her stats from her 2 month check-up. 231/2 inches long, 90% percentile, 12lbs 5 oz, 90th percentile, 40 cm head, 85% percentile. It looks like she is doing awesome!!

I have been wanting to get some pictures up of her room for so long now. In my opinion, it is adorable!! I made these letters for her...

It was so fun to create them. I think they turned out really cute!

Here are a few more pictures of her room. My sweet brother bryan and my sister in law wendy helped out a ton in making her room so cute! They got me the darling little chair, and rug, and the cute green totes, and a shelf that we havent' put up quite yet. Thank you soo much Bryan and wendy! Love you guys!

Mae is officially sleeping in her crib now, and I have to admit that I cried the first night we put her in there all by herself to sleep but she did great! And has done great every night since! She now pretty much sleeps through the night! I put her down between 9 and 10 and she sleeps until 6ish! Then i feed her and put her back to sleep until 9!! She is just plain amazing! :)

Well, I feel like I am finally starting to figure it out. Mae and I are getting used to breastfeeding and just hanging out together all day. I can't get enough of her though. She is sooo dang cute! I want to give her little kisses all day long! It seems like she is smiling alot more now in her sleep and even when she is awake! She has the cutest smile in the world and it even looks like she might have a few dimples :)!! She is now almost 5 weeks old, she will be 5 weeks on Saturday. It is unreal how fast the time flies! I remember just being home from the hospital and Mae was only 3 days old and I was just sitting there looking at her crying thinking that I couldn't believe that she was already 3 days old. Before I know it she will be a little toddler running around. I just love taking care of her though and now i really understand what people mean when they say you won't know what you did without her in your life. It is so true. I really don't know what I would do without her now that I have been spoiled! She is honestly the best baby too. I haven't had any other babies but I truly feel like I have been spoiled with her. I dont' know what I will do if my second one is any worse than her! She is so content to just sit in your arms and look around at the world! She hardly ever cries it seems like, only when she is super hungry. As you can tell I just love her with all of my heart and could go on and on about her, so I will stop now. She came!! She was born on July 11th at 1:11 am. She weighed 9 lbs 5oz! The whole experience was wonderful and Terry and I have said a couple of times that we wish we could do it all over again! She is the most beautiful and amazing little person in the world! We are so lucky that she is ours and we couldn't be happier!! Things are going really well here at home and it is so nice to have Terry home with us. I wish he could be here all the time!! I know I will cry when he has to go back to work! Well, I am officially the worst blogger ever! I am soo overdue on a post and have soo much to catch up on. First of all, Terry, Mary, my Mom, and I all had the opportunity to go see Wicked at the Capitol Theater! It was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed every minute of it mouthing all of the words to my favorite songs! Terry even enjoyed it! Here is a cute picture of Mary my mom and I, Terry took the picture for us!

Then My sister and Mom, and I all went to Washington DC! My Brother and sister in law live there with their daughter Charlotte so we went to see them! I love DC, and Mary had never been there before so I was excited to see everything that we could! Only one problem was that we had mary's adorable daughter Jane with us who is 18 months old. I was a little worried about how it was all going to turn out but Jane was a trooper!!! Here is her on the airplane, that little dvd player was a lifesaver!!!

We ended up taking My brothers daughter with us everywhere too and she is 2 years old. She is so much fun and has such a cute personality but it made for an exhausting 4 days! I guess it was good practice for me! All in all it was such a wonderful trip! Here are a couple more pictures.

Also, I was 28 weeks along in these pictures! Now I am 33 weeks along which is so crazy to think about! It is going by so fast! I only have 6 more weeks until my due date! Things with the pregnancy are going great. Not much to complain about, only that the big belly gets a little uncomfortable at night when trying to sleep! I can feel her moving around a TON! It is so fun!

So lately i have been having these terrible anxiety dreams. let me just tell you about them! so the first one i had was, i had the baby and i had her for a couple of days. then i suddenly realized that i had not fed her once during that whole time. i literally woke up crying i felt like such a horrible mother.

in the next one i was supposed to be taking care of jane at our house, and i just realized this after i had gone to bed for the night. then i had the horrible realization that i had left jane in the car, and it was the middle of the night and it was freezing cold out side. i physically jumped out of bed and started running to the door to head out to my car to get jane. i was almost do the door when i realized that it was all just a really vivid dream and i don't have jane. she is at home safe in her own bed and under the care of her mother. i couldn't believe how real this one felt. i mean i was headed out the door at 2:30 in the morning! and it was all just a dream!

just to give you an update, i am 25 weeks along and definitely showing. we haven't even taken a belly picture yet, i at least need one pregnant picture. we are going to name her Mae Lynn Sharp! isn't that cute!! we are very excited! she moves all over the place in my tummy, its fun to be able to feel her so much. i have tried to have terry feel her moving around but she seems to stop whenever someone else has their hands on my belly. oh well, im sure he will be able to feel her sometime!

Well we found out that we are having a little girl. I was sooo convinced that it was going to be a boy that i still feel like we should get another ultrasound just to make sure! This was the first ultrasound that we have had and it was sooo fun! The lady is amazing and can make out so many things on the baby by looking at what looked like gray mush on the screen. Terry did get a little queezy, especially when she zoomed in on the heart beating. But over all he did ok! We are excited and can NOT believe that it is a girl!!! Now we just need to think of some names!

I know, I know, I am way over due for a blog post. But who really reads this anyways??? Everybody who reads this I have talked to in the last little while know how our Bermuda Trip was and What the sex of our baby is. But, Blogging is fun and I will blog about it anyway!!! So first of all, Bermuda was fun! Besides the rainy and cold weather... but to say the least, we were in BERMUDA!!! Bermuda is a beautiful place, very small though! They had small 2 lane roads and very small cars. They drove on the opposite side of the road, so Terry and I opted to take the bus or a taxi to get around. The roads are small, like I said and very curvy and small hills all the time. That caused me to have a few cases of car sickness!! There are wild chickens everywhere! We got to go see the beach a couple times, on the two sunny days that we had, and it was gorgeous!!! Perfectly soft and pink sand and the water was the most beautiful color and SO clear!!! We got to go to this neat aquarium and zoo which was so fun! The people who Terry did his on-site with were really nice as well. We had dinner with them one night. Eating out there was ridiculously expensive! That was the one downside of Bermuda, other wise i think we would LOVE to go back there in the summer time. (there will be pictures of all of this, if i can figure out how to get a slide show on here!!) Terry did end up working a few more days than we had originally planned on but it was OK, it was rainy anyway. We had a wonderful week there and are happy to be back home in our normal routine!

Terry's on-site job has him away from home a TON and I don't especially like it. We always talk about having me come on some on-sites, but that has never happend....until now!!! Terry was offered an on-site in BERMUDA and guess who is going with him no questions asked? You guessed it, ME!! Fishbowl even offered to have me go with him!! So i can't even hardly wait until Feb. 14!! That is when we are going to fly out and spend the entire next week!! I can't stop talking about it, and looking up everything about it on-line. I thought I would share the most exciting news that has happened for us in a while, besides the one about finding out I am pregnant :)!

Oh Dear Me!!

So Terry and I went to our first baby appointment the other day and this is what happened. The doctor was just using the little Doppler thing to try to hear the baby's heartbeat (which we couldn't even hear by the way) and Terry got queasy!!! And he wasn't just a little queasy, he almost had to leave the room?!?!?! What am I going to do with him? It will be great when I'm in labor and Terry is passed out on the floor next to me, or throwing up in the bathroom...

Berfdays!!

Terry and I have had Birthday's recently. Terry's was on Nov. 24th. NOT the 23rd. (i made that embarrassing mistake just the other day!! Sad i know, i really do know when my husbands birthday is!) But Terry was of coarse working on his birthday, he was in New Jersey working his butt off like usual. He told me that it was the middle of the day before he remembered that it was his birthday. What a way to spend your birthday hu?!?! I tried to make it a little special for him when he got home a few days later. I made him a big dinner, Cantonese chicken, baked potatoes, rice-a-roni, rolls, and even a cake. I had a welcome home poster waiting too. Not that great but I hope it made up for having to work on your birthday!

Now my birthday on the other hand was glorious! It was on Dec. 16th. Terry and I even took the whole day off from work!! First, Terry made me a delicios breakfast of waffles, grapefruit, eggs, and english muffins!! Then we headed out in the snow and got a Christmas Tree and a few decorations, we needed some desprately! After we decorated our apartment all christmasy, we headed up to Salt Lake City! We first went to the bodies mueseum. We have been wanting to go there for a while and we finally went! It was amazing! Terry was a little queezy at times but he liked it too! Then we headed to the Melting Pot for dinner. That place in rediculiously good! We had soo much fun eating all of the wonderful fondu! We were definitely stuffed! The day went by too fast, I didn't want it to end! Thanks to my wonderful husband who planned it all out! I love you soooooo much Terry!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween!!

Halloween was fun this year! First of all, the weekend before halloween, our good childhood friends had a dress up halloween party! Mary and I were eachother's dates because Terry was out of town with work and Ryan had to study, study, study. Mary and I tried to think of good halloween costumes and it came down to the last day so I went out trying to find something that would be good, we ended up being and angel and a devil! I don't have any pictures of us but Mary has some posted on her blog. Don't mind how ugly I look in the pictures!!! We had TONS of fun at their party! And our costumes turned out pretty good. Then on the Monday before, our friends Taylor and Jen, invited us over to carve pumkins with them and have dinner!! It was so much fun! I have pictures of our pumkins!! It took Terry a total of 3 min. to carve his pumpkin and it turned out to be one of the funniest pumkins, and it still looks funny today!! I worked and worked on my pumkin and it looked good for about half a day :(. Oh well it was still fun and I think they turned out pretty good! Then on Halloween, we wanted to dress up for work, I thought and thought again for something that would be fun for terry and I to be together, again, to no success, we ended up going to Wal-Mart, the night before at about 11:00, trying to find something. Terry ended up being elmo!! He bought this little elmo costume that if for a todler and he looked soo funy!! I really couldn't find anything good so I ended up being a couch potato. I wish we had some pictures of us, I didn't take any :( i will have to steal some from someone who did!

Isn't this picture of a park in Texas Amazing! And not to mention the sunsets are amazing There too!! So Terry and I are back in Utah for a while and i must say it feels GREAT!!! Utah is Beautiful this time of year and it is so nice to be able to have some scenery around us. I have not done a good job keeping up on this thing and kinda a lot has happened in the last little while!! First of all Terry and I had our Anniversary!! We are officially married over a year! We decided that we wanted to do something fun in the midst of all our working so we decided we would go to Dallas for the weekend and go to Six Flags!! I was so excited to go on some awesome roller coasters! But our experience at six flags this time was not so great! we went on a total of 3 rides and left. needless to say six flags is not our favorite, we have decided that we are always going to go to Disneyland because every other theme park is lame in comparison!! But while in Dallas we went to the big mall and wandered around for a while and had some good dinners. It was nice to go relax together!

We also had an Intuit Conference in Dallas that we went to. Terry and his Brother Matt were supposed to man the booth and tell lots of people about Fishbowl. It was cool that I got to go, but I just worked from the hotel room all day long. We did go to a pretty cool restaurant where there was a live band playing, and a mechanical bull that terry and Matt both rode! I must say that they both looked pretty awesome riding that bull!!! :)

Well i was tagged by my sister-in-law Heather. So I think I have to write 6 random things about myself, so here it goes. And Sorry that it took me soo long to get this posted!!

1. I sit on the computer for hours at a time just looking at other people's blogs!! I seriously check mostly everyone's blog like everyday just to see if they have posted something new. Most of the time there is nothing so i will just look at the old pictures. But when there is something new...oh wow I get WAY TOO EXCITED!!!! Some of my favorite blogs to look at are heather's and mary's!!! I just wait for new pictures to be posted of their precious little families!!! I wish all of my family members had Blogs!! I am going to convince everyone to have one and post as many pics as possible!!!

2. I am seriously OBSESSED with "The Hills" T.V. show. Really I am.

3. Sometimes I go days at a time without showering. It's kinda sad but true.

4. If I could be on a vacation every day of my life I would. I like to travel different places and see the country and experience new things.

5. I had one here but terry thought it was too gross so I deleted it.

6. I love my husband and family sooooooo much!!!

Honeymoon!

Well we have almost been married a year now but I wanted to get a few pictures of our honeymoon up so you can look at them! The only camera we had was a disposable one so they really kinda suck and there really arn't that many interesting ones. But I hope you like them anyway! We went to Disneyland, Seaworld, and thats pretty much it. I was so so much fun though!! I'm sure anywhere you go on your honeymoon would be fun just because it's your HONEYMOON! We loved it and want to go back soon! hopefully we can go for our 1 year Anniversary that would be FUN!!

I just want to talk about my amazing sister who really is the best sister in the whole entire world!!! She has always been so supportive of me, and always looked out for her little sister. We are best friends and I hope it stays that way all of our lives! (i'm sure it will). No matter what she has been there for me and has helped me through so many things in my life. She is someone I know I can call if I need someone to talk to. I really look up to her and hope that i can be as good of a mother, friend, and person as she is!!!

BUGS!!!

So i feel like the bugs here is Texas are out of control! They are terrible. And I hate bugs! There are huge beetles everywhere and not to mention the TICKS. We have had quite a few adventures with ticks! The first one being, terry had one on his stomach! And terry HATES ticks so bad! He walks in the house with his blow torch wanting me to do something with it and help him get his dang tick off. And the next thing i know he has painted over the tick with pink nail polish. WOW he was pretty desperate to get that thing off him!! To be really honest I think I would have wanted it off me as well because it wasn't exactly nice looking! it was kind of spotted with crazy colors like purple, it was creepy! but needless to say we got it off and terry got rid of it by blow torching it to ashes out on our front sidewalk!!!

The next crazy story is, one day I was just working away in our lovely house when i had this persistent itch. I just kept itching it and it would not go away! so i lifted up my shirt and there was this Teeny tiny bug (and i mean it was so tiny i could hardly really see it). And I saw move a little which to me looked like it was pulling it's head out of my skin (GROSS!!). so i showed terry and yes it was a tiny TICK!! so i was completely grossed out by this point when i felt another itch and i lifted up my shirt again and there was another tick but this one was all settled in!!! i was mortified and demanded terry to help me. so long story short i had a total of 3 maybe 4 ticks on me that day. ya we had a mini crisis that day!

ZERO

So terry and i got a puppy!!! he is so dang cute. he is a black lab and he is small now but he is going to be HUGE!!! im kinda scared about that but i guess we will just adjust!! so we decided to take zero(thats what we named him) for a walk the other night and there are these cows down the road. there are these baby ones and ones that have the hugest horns i have ever seen!! anyway so we were walking by them on our way home from the park and as zero was walking by all of the baby cows came right over to the fence and were sooo interensted in zero! it was really crazy! they wont come near when people are walking by in fact they run away when i am running past them but when zero walked by them they all wanted to come and look at the puppy!! they were just staring at him!! it was the weirdest thing ever. then something even more crazy happened!! so we wanted to see how the huge cows would react to zero so we slowly walked by waiting to see what they would do. one was facing us and one wasn't and as soon as the one who was facing us saw zero started to nudge the other one in the butt and then started to walk right over to zero. then before we knew it both of them were right next to the fence!!! they were acting all weird too like rubbing their horns in the dirt and just staring at zero. we were kinda getting a little freaked out that they were going to charge us so we started to walk off and they kinda stood there in place for a while. then right as we were about to pass completely, we heard one running at us!!! one of them was running after us!! it really was soo crazy! i wonder if there is some sort of connection between cows and dogs!! anyway i got a few pics cow incident as well as some of just how freaking cute he is!! the last picture is of zero sleeping in the car! he was sleeping in what looked like the most uncomfortable position!!
